Every active in the range, in plain language, with nothing hidden behind a trademarked name.

A drop of serum on stone beside caviar pearls and a glass pipette

Every active in the range, in plain language. Nothing here is hidden behind a trademarked name, and the full INCI list is printed on each product page.

Caviar extract

Refined from sturgeon roe farmed in Aquitaine, France. Rich in proteins, lipids, minerals and vitamins. It nourishes and conditions, and it is the reason skin feels better fed after a few days rather than simply coated. More about where it comes from on the caviar page.

Palmitoyl Tripeptide-5

A peptide widely used in firming skincare, sold under the name Syn-Coll. It is the ingredient behind the smoother, firmer look that appears with continued use, and the reason the serum is a six-to-eight-week product rather than an overnight one.

Sodium hyaluronate

The salt form of hyaluronic acid, smaller and more stable in a formula. It is a humectant: it holds water. In a climate where air conditioning pulls moisture out of skin for ten hours a day, this is doing more work here than it would in Zurich.

Resveratrol

An antioxidant from Japanese knotweed root extract. Antioxidants are there to deal with the everyday stress of sun, dust and pollution, the things that make skin look tired rather than the things that happen with age.

Vitamin C

Present as both ascorbic acid and ascorbyl palmitate, the oil-soluble form, which is more stable in a formula. Another antioxidant, and one that helps the overall look of evenness and brightness.

Superoxide dismutase

An enzyme that occurs naturally in skin and is used in cosmetics as an antioxidant. Rarely seen outside professional ranges, because it is expensive and difficult to keep stable.

Panthenol

Provitamin B5, a plant derivative. A humectant and a soother. It is why these formulas are comfortable on skin that feels tight, and part of why the serum suits sensitive skin better than its richness suggests.

Micellar water

In the cleanser only. Micelles are tiny cleansing molecules suspended in water; they lift away make-up, oil and dust without the stripping feeling of a foaming wash, and without needing to be rinsed off.

What we do not put in

No claims about what these ingredients do beneath the surface of the skin. These are cosmetics: they change how skin looks and feels. For anything concerning your health, a condition, a reaction or a medication, see a doctor rather than a skincare brand.

Allergy note. Every product in this range contains caviar extract. Do not use them if you have a fish or seafood allergy. Patch test on the inner arm before first use.
