Codex FZE brings skincare ranges into the United Arab Emirates and sells them properly. One category, done carefully, rather than a bit of everything.
This store is run by Codex FZE, a technology and e-commerce company based in Sharjah. We build and operate online stores, and we have chosen to specialise in one category rather than sell a bit of everything.
What we actually do
We bring skincare ranges into the United Arab Emirates and sell them properly. That means doing the unglamorous parts ourselves: importing genuine stock, holding it here, writing the product pages, answering the questions, and shipping the parcels.
It is a narrower business than it sounds. We are not a marketplace and we do not list whatever a supplier offers us. We take on a range only when we can stand behind the formulas, the sourcing and the claims, and when we can hold enough stock to deliver it in one to three days.
Why skincare, and why this way
Skincare is sold badly almost everywhere. Pages promise things that cannot be delivered, reviews are borrowed, and nobody tells you when a product is wrong for you. The regulations here are stricter than most people selling into this market seem to realise, and the honest version is also the compliant version.
So we built the store around a few rules that are easy to state and harder to keep:
- Nothing is shown that we do not have. No star ratings before there are reviews, no borrowed before-and-afters.
- Every claim about a product is a cosmetic claim, about how skin looks and feels. Health questions go to a doctor.
- If a product is wrong for you, we say so, even when that means not selling it.
- A real person answers, within the hour, during working hours.
Where this is going
The ambition is to become the largest skincare showroom in the Emirates. Not the largest catalogue, the largest curated one: several ranges, each chosen for a reason, each explained properly, all held in stock here and delivered in days rather than weeks.
Caviar of Switzerland is the first. More ranges follow, including clinical and professional lines of the kind usually only found through a clinic. Each one arrives on this same footing: honest pages, real stock, a person to ask.
